Is there a recital fee?

- Yes. There is one recital fee per family. This covers the cost of renting the auditorium at Roy High for the recitals and dress rehearsals. Your guests do not pay for entrance into the recitals as the recital fee covers that as well. This fee is charged to your dance account in March of the dance year.

-Yes. It is $10 per student. It is due at the time of registration. This is a non-refundable fee. It is charged to the credit card that you keep on file with Dance Image Studios. It is only charged one time each year before the start of the dance year. You are ALWAYS notified before any charges are made to your credit/debit card.

Does tuition include costume fee?

-No. There will be a costume fee of $50 due in October with the remaining costume balance due in February. Please see Studio Policies under Tuition and Fees

How much are costumes?

-Costume costs usually run in the $80 range. However, this will also cover the cost for costume for  both dances, as well as tights and accessories.

What do we wear?

-Proper dancewear for preschool kindergarten and 1st grade is a leotard and tights or unitard, or fitted shorts, and a form fitted top. 2nd grade and up should wear black pants, shorts, or capris, and a form fitted top or tank colored white, black, or teal.  A studio shirt is always acceptable. Please see Studio Policies under Dress Code.

Tumbling: For Girls: Please wear a leotard with shorts over the leotard. A unitard is also acceptable. Boys please wear shorts with a t-shirt. Try to keep your shirt as fitted as possible. The teachers need to be able to hold onto the students in different moves and baggy shirts hinder their hold. Bare feet while tumbling.

* Teams are required to wear appropriate dance attire in keeping with the Studio policies. Further instruction will be given by the teachers. No basketball shorts, sweats, or oversized shirts.

What shoes do we need?

-Preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade will wear pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes. 2nd grade and up will wear tan jazz shoes and black tap shoes.

:Where can I buy dance shoes?

- Dance Image Studios has new shoes for purchase and order. There are several times throughout the dance year that you can submit your order. At the beginning of each dance year, you will

have multiple chances to purchase and order shoes. Dance Image Studios also holds an annual used shoe sale, which anyone can buy or sell used shoes at. This happens in August at the Back-To-Dance Open House before the dance year starts. This is a great way to purchase gently used shoes for a great price.

* You may also purchase shoes on your own at several dancewear locations. Dance Image Studios keeps their prices in line with other retail stores. Tap shoes purchased at Wal-Mart or Payless will not be allowed on the studio floors. The taps on them scratch the floors and usually are of very low quality. We have priced these two places and our shoe prices are exactly the same. We are always happy to help with sizing of your dancer’s feet for the best fit for dancer’s shoes.

When does the dance year start?

- The dance year starts in September and goes through the recital in May or June.

There are also many summer classes offered. There is separate registration for the summer classes. There is no registration fee for summer classes.

Is there a recital?

- Yes. There is a Junior Recital for students Preschool thru 4th grade. There is a recital for students 5th grade thru High School and the Competition Teams. Both recitals are in the Spring, generally toward the middle to end of May.

Do I have to have an email on file?

-Yes. Our primary form of communication is thru email. We send newsletters, announcements, and statements thru email every month. It is vital that we have our email address. We will NEVER use it for advertisement or give to anyone for those purposes. Your email address will only be sent important information about Dance Image Studios and your account.

My daughter missed the Competition Team tryouts. Are there any other options for joining the Team?

I registered for class and now I have a situation that will require me to cancel. Is this a problem?

- No. We understand that situations arise that might require you to stop coming to dance class in the middle of the month or the dance year. Please let the office and teacher know as soon as possible so that we can address your situation. There are no refunds for partial months of class.

My student is sick and not able to attend a class, or maybe even two? Can I have my account credited for those classes missed?

-Tuition is not refunded or credited for a class that is missed or even two or three. Please do your best to be to every class. We understand that things arise that might prevent attendance, but teachers are there whether every student is there or not. Therefore, it is not possible to
